Your journey with Kite
Welcome to Kite, a specialist learning support organisation dedicated to children and young people with special educational needs (SEN). For every key stage, we develop bespoke learning experiences delivered on a one-to-one basis, in person or online.
Our specialist tutors, therapists and learning support assistants (LSAs) have expertise and experience with SEN, including autism spectrum conditions, pathological demand avoidance (PDA), ADHD, sensory processing disorder (SPD), dyslexia and dyspraxia, and health conditions that impact students' ability to learn or attend school.
1. Explore and discover
How can we help you and your child? Find out about the bespoke tutoring, learning support and therapeutic services we offer for children with special educational needs (SEN).
2. Evaluate and create
When you tell us about your child, we take time to understand the best way to help them, in the ways they like most. Together, we will discuss their Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP), and create a personalised programme and approach to meet their learning and support needs.
3. Communicate and connect
We work closely with children, parents and carers, and liaise with schools and local authorities to help join all the dots. Our expert team can help you assess your child’s needs, understand their SEN profile and EHCP, and advise on funding options.
4. Trust then teach
Our primary goal is to build trust first, before we begin to teach. By getting to know your child, we can carefully select tutors, therapists or learning support assistants (LSAs) that they will be happy to work with, and who are qualified to understand their special needs, how they like to learn, and the subjects they need help with.
5. Goals and growth
We upload targets from your child’s EHCP to a personalised private portal, and work hard to deliver their learning and development at a pace that suits their needs. We write new targets every term and regularly report on activities and achievements, so you can always see your child’s goals and growth.
